Rogationist Fathers initiates their small apostolate

April 14, 2017

Following the missionary zeal of St. Hannibal Maria Di Francia (founder) two Rogationist Fathers of Rogationist Congregation of Indian Quasi Province, came to Srilanka to the Diocese of Ratnapura by the end of year 2014 upon the request of his Lordship Bishop Cletus Perera. Exploring various possibilities of their eventual apostolic and charitable services, Frs. Varghese and Lixon having stationed at Dehigahapitiya, began their small charitable work as an initiation to the concrete expression of their charism. In dynamic coordination with respective parish priests, fathers then found the deserving children and started Adoption at a distance program on April 3, 2016 of helping needy children in their studies and integral growth. These children are being supported through the concern and generosity of the kind hearted people around the globe. Three times in a year they are called for the meeting wherein they are given financial support, educational motivations and other possible aid along with timely updating and evaluation of their situation. As our holy founder reminds us to pray for more holy vocations to the church, let us pray fervently for holy apostles in the church and continue to be authentic workers in His vast harvest.
